Yesterday a women from the Evanston chamber of commerce asked me how I define "sustainability". Words such as "organic", "green", "bio-degradable", "recyclable", "free-range", "fair-trade" all rose up within me, elbowing their way to the front of my mind, vying for their place in the holy grail of "sustainability". - Sustainable Art Exhibit from our partner farm in Brazil
- February through June
- This is the second exhibition of art from our partner farm and village near Sao Paulo in Brazil. The artist Ivonne uses recycled coffee bags in her screen-printed tapestries as a medium for earthy and design-savvy wall hangings. This is the first time that Ivonne's work is being shown in the U.S. We are grateful to help support our partner community with such beauty. Art is for sale at the cafe. Come visit and receive a free cup of coffee with any food purchase.
- Spring Creativity Fair
- May 31 and June 1
- The fair will feature live music, outdoor dancing, candlelight food tasting to benefit Food from the Heart, and your ideas and creative input. As always, table space at the fair is free, provided you help us spread the word and market the event!
